Album Re-up Requests

To my knowledge, all the links here work. You should be able to download:
The White Album (Lie and The Family Sings)
Way Of The Wolf
Family Jams (1&2)
Psychedelic Soul (1&2)
Indestructible Spirit
All The Way Alive
Live At San Quentin
Manson Speaks (1&2)
Commemoration
Manson Soundtrack
and various interviews here at this blog. These links are all located in the archives. If anything is not working let me know by commenting to THIS post and I'll re-up it for you. The only albums not on this blog are One Mind (which I removed at the request of Manson Direct) and Taste Of Freedom, which I don't have. Thanks to everyone who has helped out here including Manson Direct and Charliemanson.com for linking to me.

Word up! This blog is the bomb. Does anyone know if Charlie has a guitar at the moment?

Psyche Zenobia said...

As far as I know he doesn't. I think that his last two albums were Taste Of Freedom and before that Way Of The Wolf. Then he got his guitar taken away and most of his other small freedoms like painting.

There's no smoke without fire and if a person can't take responsibility for the things that he's done than it dosn't matter how much of an outlaw he says he is, he's just a coward. The only reason Manson has had so much lee way to protest his innocence is that the whole affair was un doubtedly sensationalized. I find it ugly how much time I have devoted to Manson but the more I watched the less I was impressed and if it means I'm more vigil against the sickness that surrounds cults in the future than it's a good thing.

Just wanted your thoughts on this???

It would be easier if I had your email address for me to respond. I don't know when you posted this or when you'll see my response. Where there's smoke there's fire is a good observation in any criminal investigation. I certainly don't absolve him of all responsibility. What interests me the most about the case is it's uniqueness and the many connections to other cults, people, etc. Also, the way it was sensationalized and the way he was treated as some sort of symbol of all that is bad when, in fact, he was just a man. To understand cults one must try to understand brainwashing in all it's forms. Society, the millitary, religion. They all use forms and degrees of brainwashing. I don't think you should feel sick about anything. Learning about something so you can wrap your brain around it and form your own opinion is a symptom of a health mind.

Thanks for your intelligent and well written response. I think the reason why it was so sensationalized was because of the things they wrote on the wall, the way they cut open a pregnant, famous movie star's stomach and the way that they presented themselves in court.
One interesting thing is is that the hippies of the 60s didn't spring up out of nowhere. they were a reflection, if you will, of the bohemians of the 50s and the bohemians were a reflection of the boskoboops of the 40s....like Manson says he was playing bongos and smoking grass in 57 in Mexico City so he knew the ins and outs of the situation. the biggest thing for me is that when Manson came out prison he was 28 so he had a lot more life experience than the 20 year olds he was with. He knew what it was like to not have a mother and father around
and could offer them all the answers.
The religous extremist situation today works in exactly the same way. 30 year old men preaching and interpretating reality for confused, insecure young males who want to experience true love and find some solid ground or whatever. This "manson family" behaviour is still going on today no 40 miles from my house.
I think that generally everything that they/he were accused of is ture. You only have to look at the footage of Lynette and Sandra brandishing shotguns and knifes talking about bringing
kids to the desert and killing people and loving their knifes to know that this is true although it is interesting to hear about some of the freaky coincidences and happenings that led up to the murders....
Like when Manson shot the black drugs dealer and then went home to hear about how a prominent member of the Black panthers had been shot dead but it was a completley different guy also abouthow Tex had eaten the apple sized chunk of belladonna warping his mind and resulting in his psychotic break down post imprisonment.

Is there anyone out there that has the re-issued version of "Lie" called "Charles Manson Sings"? I've heard the quality is a lot better than "Lie".

Psyche Zenobia said...

I've not heard it but the one I have here is the "White Album" version and it sounds pretty close to the vinyl of Lie that I have. I don't really see how it could sound any better. That's the best quality stuff of his out there as far as production is concerned.

I have purchased a few Manson Cd's over the years, and have downloaded the rest from your fantastic site...thanks! Any chance you would post "All the way Alive", "Summer of Hate-67' sessions", and Unplugged...the remaining three I need to complete my collection.
Thanks a million, love your site!
